Shazia – Bringing Hope and Freedom to Women in Pakistan
This Women’s History Month, International Women’s Ministries honors Shazia, a courageous servant of Christ who is faithfully ministering to women and girls in Pakistan.
Shazia carries a deep burden for those who are suffering in silence. In a region where many women face poverty, exploitation, and abuse, she has committed her life to bringing the hope of the Gospel to the most vulnerable.
Part of her ministry reaches into communities affected by bonded labor, where families can become trapped in systems of control and generational poverty. Shazia works among these communities to bring encouragement, prayer, and the message of Christ to those who often feel forgotten.
Her heart is especially broken for young girls who are kidnapped or forced into domestic servitude—often referred to as “house servants,” a term that can mask deeper exploitation and abuse. Shazia works tirelessly to advocate for these girls, support families, and help bring attention to their situation.
She is also a refuge for women suffering in abusive marriages. When women find themselves trapped in dangerous or oppressive situations, Shazia steps in with compassion, counsel, and practical help, offering both protection and the hope of a new beginning in Christ.
Alongside this rescue work, Shazia organizes monthly evangelistic gatherings for women. At these events, women come together to hear the Gospel, pray, worship, and encourage one another in their faith. Many of these women have never owned a Bible of their own.
Because of this, Shazia makes it a priority to place a Bible into the hands of women at every outreach, ensuring they leave with the Word of God and the truth that they are deeply loved and valued by Him.
Her ministry is both bold and compassionate, shining the light of Christ in places where darkness has long prevailed.
Scripture reminds us of the heart of God for the oppressed:
“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.”
— Isaiah 1:17
Through her faith and obedience, Shazia is helping women and girls discover freedom, dignity, and the transforming love of Jesus Christ.
International Women’s Ministries is honored to partner with women like Shazia who courageously carry the light of Christ into some of the most challenging mission fields in the world.
