Prayers that Refresh!

Did you know that intercessory prayer is a way to refresh others? Lately, I have sensed in my spirit that this has been a season of heaviness for many. Many are carrying burdens and need intercessors to call on the name of the Lord for them. I can’t help but think that when we pray for someone, we are refreshing weary souls. It is a great honor for me to bear the burdens of others through prayer. God has recently shown me how effective my prayers have become through the validation of testimonies from others.

I truly believe we are in a season where God will prove Himself faithful as we call on Him for the body of Christ. Just like Joseph, we will be able to say, “What [the enemy] has meant for my harm, the Lord has used for good” (Genesis 50:20).

Releasing our prayers to the heavenly places brings about change. It stirs the atmosphere and causes a domino effect in the spiritual realm. Things begin to move, hearts are changed, and lives are encouraged—simply because we have called on The King of Kings.

Prayer can seem drab and boring, time-consuming, and slow to bring about change!

Your prayers are making a difference more than you realize!

“And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.” (Revelation 5:8)

Your prayers and my prayers are in those golden bowls being poured out before the throne. The prayers of the saints are a beautiful incense to the Lord, moving Him to action.

God is about to break through in areas where there has been little movement. We learn perseverance and patience as we make intercessions, petitions, and prayers.

God is challenging us to activate the gift of intercession—an activation that brings healing to the sick, more laborers into the harvest, prodigals home, and causes revival to break out! The type of prayer that refreshes when answered!

Let’s expect that our prayers will refresh and encourage others, and at the same time, refresh us! Our prayers are bringing about God’s plan day by day, prayer by prayer! AMEN!
